Am coming up for air......

.....am still around. Level of work high. Level of pollen count low. (Can breathe easily now). London's level of security - critical. So must be very careful. Take care, everyone. Will be back soon. Kak teh

  1. I'm coming up for air too, so I'm consolidating my comments for your previous posts here:
    1. I lurrrrrrve Dato' Jins.. he is so dashing, me thinks. And you look very vogue, kak teh!
    2. Your convo+croissant sounds lovely. I love listening to stories from people who have 'been there', but unfortunately when they mention names I would get a bit blurr blurr gitu.. heh heh like katak di bawah tempurung gitu.

Hope you feel better soon. I live vicariously through your adventures!

  2. You take care, too, Kak Teh .... especially with that critical level of security. The other levels you can do something about them ..... but this one is something you don't have control over.

  3. Wow, I can't believe it. I'm your first visitor! Normally, I would rank 50 something. (BTW, I'm also first at Judy's today). Wah, macam kena lottery.

Over the weekend, the air over here too has been bad too due to the hotspots at Sumatra. Hope to hear from you soon on your interview with Lat.

  9. KT, keep well. You, AG, kids and cats! H left London the evening they found the car at Haymarket - he would surely have been delayed had his return to Cairo been the next day, with all the road closures, etc! God be with you & family.

Thanks for buzzing me the other day - oh btw, I may not have sciatica after all *fingers crossed*

  10. Hi Kak Teh,

I am so glad you ahve this break. Great isn't it? Yes, regarding security in UK, do tread with care. Nasty isn't it? Why must we lose that peace and tranquil...silly question, but wanna get it outa the system.

  11. kakteh,

We too were planning to come up for air... had the whole week planned for our yearly break.

kita manusia merancang, yang maha Esa menentukan...

My grandfather has stopped his fight early this evening, he's in a better place now. No more pain, no more witnessing the ugly sides of human beings who claim themselves children & relative.

I know I can proudly say that I'm doing all I can in trying to fullfill his last wish, his final 'amanah', and it is the right thing to do.

Please pray for our strength to face tomorrow's funeral arrangement.

  12. Hello Kak Teh

Glad you are feeling better from the hayfever. Do take care of yourself. Latest security threat makes life difficult. One is not free to move around much anymore.

Tumpang lalu Kak Teh.. I wish to offer my condolences to Athene.

Athene, so sorry to hear about your grandfather's demise. May he rest in peace. And may God give you and the rest of the family strength in this time of sorrow.

  13. Salam Kak Teh
We are monitoring CNN for latest updates on the security situation in the UK. FM Syed Hamid issued an advisory asking Malaysians to limit their travels there.
Keep safe and well to you and family.

  14. Take care. Some big corporations have issued an indefinite ban to travel to where you are. Darn, work is piling up once this blows over.

  15. Kakteh,

Thanks for all your prayers, all of us really appreciate it. He was really among the last of the great ones, by the look of the crowd at the funeral yesterday.

Alhamdullilah, everything went smoothly. The news was even in Utusan today. He might be gone. but he'll never be forgotten.
